Kora Music

Liam Hemmings A gangly Welsh kid playing an African instrument. What's this all about? It's mesmerising stuff. One moment it's foreign, alien, African music (to a westerner's ears) the next it is British and pastoral sounding and where each begins and ends is hard to say. All that stuff about music being a common language is usually nonsense but this chap really proves it. However, leaving aside the musings about music and the world it's really beautiful stuff regardless. Favorite track: Famade.
